What the route covers
The tour runs 1 hour 30 minutes and is rated easy. It follows the coast west out of Funchal to Doca do Cavacas, where the sea fills a set of natural pools in the basalt, then drops into Câmara de Lobos itself. Your guide walks you round the harbour with its painted boats, the clifftop viewpoint and the village streets.
