Câmara de Lobos – The Fisherman’s Village: Your day begins at 9:00 AM with our default pick-up location at Praça CR7 in Funchal. From there, our journey takes us to the charming fishing village of Câmara de Lobos, where colorful traditional boats line the bay and centuries of fishing heritage come alive in every corner. Once Sir Winston Churchill’s favorite painting spot, this picturesque harbor offers postcard-perfect views. As you stroll along the scenic bay, you will learn about the village’s rich culture, capture incredible photos of the harbor and cliffs, and enjoy time for a quick local snack or an espresso.
Cabo Girão Viewpoint: Next, we head to Cabo Girão, one of Europe’s highest sea cliffs, topped by a thrilling glass-floored skywalk suspended 589 meters above the ocean. Step out to marvel at panoramic views over the coastline and terraced farmlands below, learn about Madeira’s dramatic volcanic geology, and take time to visit the nearby café or gift shop. (Note: Entry ticket to the Skywalk is not included.)
Off-Road 4×4 to São Sebastião Viewpoint: Get ready for adventure as we head off the beaten path in an exciting 4×4 climb through scenic hillside and forest tracks. We will reach the secret viewpoint of São Sebastião, a remote and tranquil spot overlooking the lush green valleys of Ribeira Brava. Enjoy sweeping views, excellent photo opportunities, and the pristine atmosphere of Madeira’s untouched interior landscape.
Scenic Drive & Local Bar”O Rochão”: We cruise along coastal cliffs with jaw-dropping ocean views before ascending to O Rochão, a cozy, authentic Madeiran bar nestled in the hillside. This scenic break gives you time to relax, soak in the warm local hospitality, and enjoy a coffee or try the island’s famous traditional Poncha surrounded by panoramic nature. (Note: Food and drinks not included.)
Fanal: The Enchanted Forest: Enter a magical world at Fanal, a UNESCO-protected Laurisilva forest where ancient, centuries-old laurel trees twist through the mist like a scene from a fairytale. Whether foggy or sun-drenched, walking among these iconic trees offers a surreal, soul-stirring experience as you take photos and learn about Madeira’s native forest ecosystem.
Porto Moniz: Natural Pools: Welcome to Porto Moniz, a volcanic paradise sitting right at the ocean’s edge. Relax and enjoy the views of the Atlantic with a photo break.
Seixal: Black Sand Beach Bliss: Next, we pass in Seixal to view one of the most beautiful black sand beaches on the island. Take in the dramatic scenery of towering cliffs and rolling ocean waves, with an optional photo break.
Véu da Noiva Waterfall Viewpoint: We continue to the iconic Véu da Noiva (“Bride’s Veil”) viewpoint, where a tall, elegant cascade tumbles down dramatic ocean cliffs directly into the sea. Capture breathtaking photos from the viewpoint, hear the captivating local legend behind the waterfall’s name, and reflect on the wild power of Madeira’s natural wonders.
Scenic Return to Pick-up Location: Our journey back winds through lush green landscapes, past hidden waterfalls, and through mountain tunnels, revealing the island’s wildest beauty one last time.
